It’s Time | 1st Class Credit Union Collaborates with The Sunday Post
We are proud to have collaborated with The Sunday Post on It’s Time, a landmark national campaign to help tackle violence against women and girls across Scotland.
Developed in collaboration with 1st Class Credit Union, the campaign brings together employers, government, public services, charities, communities and influential voices from sport, music and public life around a shared belief: violence against women and girls is not inevitable, and meaningful change is possible when we act together.
The campaign brings together an extraordinary group of people and organisations from across Scotland, with supporters including Annie Lennox, KT Tunstall, Barbara Dickson, Val McDermid, Andy Walker and Michael Devlin.
For 1st Class Credit Union, being part of this campaign is about more than simply raising awareness. It reflects our commitment to the communities we serve and our belief that organisations have a responsibility to use their voice and influence to help create positive change.
Our Money Made Human journey has always been about recognising that financial services are ultimately about people. While we provide our members with a safe place to save and borrow, our social impact extends beyond financial services and into the communities we are part of.
Our CEO, Gayle Lloyd, had this to say about the collaboration:
"When 1st Class Credit Union set out on our Money Made Human journey, we didn’t know where that journey would take us. We are honoured to work with the incredible team at The Sunday Post on this campaign to end violence.
We stand with employers, leaders and the astonishing front cover influencers to say: It’s Time to end domestic abuse.
A credit union is a not-for-profit financial institution, and we offer our members a safe place to save and borrow, but our true social impact is demonstrated in how we treat others and how we make a difference to our communities across the UK.
We participate in this campaign with gratitude to our powerful and wise collaborators, and to The Sunday Post for their determination, courage and hopefulness in bringing this to our news channels.
Lastly, to survivors: you are valued and valuable, and 1st Class Credit Union stands with you."
Gayle Lloyd, CEO, 1st Class Credit Union, on behalf of our Board, colleagues and members.
We are proud to have played a part in bringing this important campaign to life alongside The Sunday Post and the many individuals, organisations and communities who have come together to say that change is needed.
It’s Time to stand together. It’s Time to take action. It’s Time to end domestic abuse.
