We are extremely proud to announce that we are featured in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024.
The Sunday Times, powered by WorkL, has revealed the Best Places to Work in the UK for 2024. This nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates Britain's top employers - which number over 500 organisations across industries and sizes - and acknowledges the best, younger and older workers, and wellbeing. workplaces for women, LGBTQIA+ community, disabled employees, and minority ethnicities
Our CEO, Gayle Adnyana had this to say about receiving the award -
“This is a direct result of the recent Colleague Survey completed by our team. Having the quality mark from the Sunday Times is a great addition to all that we are trying to do. It is fantastic that we have been able to meet their strict criteria.”
This is what the Sunday Times had to say about our workplace -
“The development of this credit union’s 19 employees is always encouraged, be it through further-education courses or leadership programmes. The firm has adapted to hybrid working and is flexible about when staff choose to commute to the Glasgow office”

We asked our colleagues for their views on working at 1st Class and this is what they shared.
“The overall environment and company culture is second to none along with growth opportunities, and the sense of belonging….1st Class!”
“1st Class is more than just a workplace—it is a supportive community where employees thrive. If you’re looking for an employer that prioritises work-life balance, understands your needs as an employee, and encourages personal growth, I wholeheartedly recommend 1st Class Credit Union.”
“As soon as I walked into the Office on my first day, I was greeted by friendly staff who seemed genuinely interested in helping and understand our members specific needs. This personalised approach made me feel valued, not seen as just another number, but as a member of a close-knit team – I already feel I’ve been with 1st Class Credit Union a lot longer than four months.”
